Dr. Lipon graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. He practiced general dentistry for thirteen years in his hometown of Grande Prairie.
Dr. Lipon then completed a residency in dental anesthesiology at Lutheran Medical Center, a designated Level I trauma center, in Brooklyn, New York. During his senior year, he served as chief resident. He subsequently completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dr. Lipon is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. He is board-certified in dental anesthesiology and pediatric dentistry in Canada. Dr. Lipon maintains a part-time clinical appointment as an attending dentist at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he trains pediatric dental residents in moderate and deep sedation techniques.
Dr. Lipon’s clinical interests in pediatric dentistry include anesthesia-free restorative dentistry with CO2 lasers as well as all porcelain full coverage restorations for primary teeth.
